Paul HengestegBrian Swilling

Brian is a Senior Business Consultant with Bearingpoint, Inc., where he provides Real Estate and Capital Assets solutions for government and large commercial clients. His areas of expertise include program management, asset management and resolution, business development and  process improvement, client management, compliance and regulatory support, customer services improvement, financial management, and business and technical writing.

Most recently, Brian supported the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) client as a Program Manager for the ICE Real Property Construction Program, consisting of 3.5 million square feet at 16 facilities, valued at $1 billion.

Prior to joining BearingPoint, Mr. Swilling was a program manager and team supervisor at the architecture firm of Carter+Burgess, Inc. He also worked as assistant program director at CETROM, Inc.,  an 8(a) management firm, and as a staff architect and project manager at RTKL Associate, Inc. Brian is active in the American Institutes of Architects and is past national vice president of Alpha Rho Chi, a national professional fraternity for architects and allied arts professional. He is vice president of the Alpha Rho Chi Foundation board. Brian is a 1997 graduate of Florida A&M University with a degree in Architecture.

In addition to his work with One in Ten, Brian is a founder of the DC chapter of ONYX, a leather fraternity for gay and bisexual men of color.
